The word 'cross' comes from Latin word 'crux'. It is one of the most ancient symbols known to humans.
It is frequently a representation of the division of the world into either four elements or cardinal points, or alternately as the union of the concepts of divinity (the vertical line), and the material world (the horizontal line).
Most crosses consist two perpendicular to each other lines. From Sacred Geometry point of view every cross, as every intersection, create a vortex, hence can perfectly serve as a protection.
In this section you can find crosses from many believe systems, traditions and cultures. We hope everyone will find something interesting and appealing here.
