With every beginning of a new year we inspire and hope to fulfill new dreams, plans, goals and desires. For most of us that inspiration does not last long. After words we are angry with ourselves for a lack of consistency, then we begin asking higher authorities why we cannot commit to anything for only a year?

There are several factors deciding how and why we will act in the up-coming year. The topic is for a day (or a few days) long conversation, but the bottom line is that most of us do not work with “force”. There are energetic trends in every year, which – when taken under consideration – may help us succeed without the end result being suffering and disgust about our character.

One of the factors is the numerological aspect of the energy of the year. During personal sessions with clients, I offer a very detailed analysis of if, but here we will look at it from a very general point of view. Numerology works with 1-gidit numbers from 1 to 9. If we ad all numbers of the year 2+0+1+6 we get 9. This is a number of the year. It brings the energy of finishing, closing and preparing for new beginning next year. It is the end of the numerological cycle. It is time to finish any outstanding, dragged out problems, things that have been put aside for later etc. Some things may also take longer then we would presume, but that is one of the symptoms of number 9. Some issues will become redundant and we should just forget them. If we will look at number 9 from a strictly mathematical angle, it does not – in fact – change any, since by adding 9 to any 1-digit number and then reducing it to one-digit number again, we will come with the original number – i.e. 7+9=16, 1+6=7 or 3+9=12, 1+2=3 etc. So – surface does not change, but undertone of it is totally different. The true root of the number 7 or 3 lies not in 7 or 3, but in 16 or 12. That is also what numerology specialist look at and consider. The final number is important, but what brings us to that digit plays major role. Today, however, due to the inability to truly analyze, as it is just a general outlook, we will stay with number 9.

We need to remember that number 9, as a closing of the cycle number, also carries a premonition for the next cycle. Hence many people will have an insight of how to approach the upcoming year and about long term plans for next 9 years. It should be an extremely interesting year – the year of new ideas being born, getting rid of old patterns that are no longer needed, habits and… people. It will all go slowly though, as it is a year of resting before expansion, gathering new people, new hopes, dreams and goals. I hope that later into the year you will realize how much everything has changed for you, your family, community, society and the whole human race.

This is a very general outlook at 2016 – but ‘what about me?’ you may ask. Well – if you would like to analyze the year of 2016 from a more personal point of view, ad your birth date numbers to the year number - i.e. if you were born in 1987, 1+9+8+7 = 25, your number will be 25 and then 2+5 comes to 7. Now lets ad 9 to it and we will get 16, then again: 1+6, which bring us back to 7. If someone was born in 2000, then his birth number is 2, so for this year it will be 9+2=11. 11 is a very special number. All numbers except for 11, 22, 33 and 44 must always be reduced to one digit. But 11, 22, 33 and 44 are called Master Numbers, hence can stay as 2-digital number or be reduced to one. That is personal choice, made on a deep spiritual level. So 11 can become 2, 22 may choose to act like 4, 33 has a chance to live a life of 6 and finally 44 may reduce their abilities to quality of 8. Changing the quality of Master Number to one-digit is, in fact, degradation of gifts and talents, which we were born with, but bearers of these numbers may decide to go for it. Now we can see what the year holds specifically for us. I cannot analyze all of the different options here, but you can either look into numerology books or get a consultation to know the whole forecast for this year.

Personally I would be careful with over- or underestimating the power of this year, since generalization always hurts. Success or failure means different things to different people.
