Fighting Or Not Fighting?

This is the question. Well - we can begin with this famous and ever-present Shakespearian dilemma. In fact I would like us to ponder upon the topic of “fight”. In our esoteric circles we do not want to fight. We are about love, loving and sharing. We are about forgiving and letting go.

But are we always right?

Isn’t standing up for what you believe in equal to fighting for your truth? So maybe we are just afraid of the word “fighting”? Because we want to be so highly spiritual? In the way, some of us often loose the sense of what we are here for. The purpose.

I think that we must, as in everything, find a balance satisfying not others, but ourselves. If you would ask about my own choices: I would fight for my child, for my family and friends. Preferably with words, but also otherwise if it would be the only other option.

In the case of my truth and my values - I would fight through arguments for as long as it takes. By sticking to my integrity, by walking my talk. Most of you, on this relatively peaceful continent had the luxury of not experiencing anything like Marshall Law, so it maybe harder for you to imagine how far one can bend his boundaries in the moment of facing tragic reality. I often listen to people raving on their courage and what they would do if…from the safety of their homes. Canada is so lucky in those terms. WE are lucky living here and enjoying a sense of security of this one of the most peaceful countries in today’s world.

But here we are touching on immense and troubling for many, the topic of - patriotism…so let’s leave it until next week.
