Knowing vs. Speaking

Have you ever thought about what it means to know something versus sharing knowledge with others? I have heard many people talk about topics they do not know well or rather they just scratched the surface of it and right away they begin talking about it publicly. I guess they feel more like messengers from a Higher Dimensions? Of course we are all guilty as sin, me included, since we all at least once in our life opened our month “a moment” too early…

The older we get, the more we realize that not everything we know is to be shared. Most therapists should follow this rule. Let’s go even further – on the North American continent therapists should keep their mouth shut, since they may be charged for making medical claims. Sometimes I miss Europe for that simple fact that healers can have an open conversation with a client. At least it was that way when I was living there. Well – it was a quarter of a century ago…

People who are on a more spiritual development learn fast (sometimes the very hard way by being laughed at) that the knowledge we get from our friends from the other side (called also guides) is information for us to ponder upon, to mentally and spiritually digest before we will decide to expose and share it with others; but only parts which are somehow clear to us. The rest is for us to process longer, to explore and maybe never reveal to even those close to us. Healers should know that we often receive information in order to become better at helping others, not always to disclose.

This problem of knowing vs. talking is not new. It keeps persisting over the centuries. Do you want to hear that? All right – just two people, centuries away from each other: scientist and philosopher pondering about the same. First is one of the most famous and respected French scientists, Louis Turenne, who said once to his students: “Scientists, especially engineers, do not speak unless they have something specific and well researched to say”. The second one is Plato, philosopher from the time of Ancient Greece, stated to people of his times: “Wise men talk because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something”. How wise!

How long it will take for us to get it? And how long it will take to apply it?
