HORSESHOE is a talisman made of brass, previously assigned to prosperity, and well-being in the times when owing a horse was a privilege of knights and nobles, and shoeing a horse was a luxury and considerable expense. Finding a lost horseshoe on the track heralded happiness, or just a few pence if it was in good condition. In latter periods found horseshoes were hung on the door and it was believed that directed upwards it attracts and stores happiness. When it turns heading ground the luck goes out of it and leaves the home at the same time.
