Symbology of the Ages (Amulets & Talismans)

Symbology of the Ages
(Amulets and Talismans)

Amulets and Talismans are magic charms that are worn to enhance spiritual power or to ward off evil.

The belief in the  magical powers of amulets and talismans is as old as human civilization and still going strong.

Amulets are believed to have the power to ward off negative energy, evil spirits or even illness. Crucifixes, lucky coins and horseshoes are some of the amulets that have been used for centuries as protection from unknown forces. Amulets are worn by people as protection from negative influences around them and as protection for their homes, families etc.

A talisman is the opposite of an amulet. They are believed to give more power to the person wearing it. Talismans are often made at times that are believed to be spiritually or astrologically significant. Talismans are seen as natural amplifiers that lead a person to thinkright thoughts.

A talisman is usually a single piece, like a pendant. An amulet can also be a pendant but can also be a special pouch filled with stones, herbs and other magical things.

Our extensive line of Amulets and Talismans are all made of solid brass and come complete with a leather cord ready for wearing and a brief description of its magic.
