Word

“At the beginning was the Word” – that is how John 1-1 describes the beginning of the Universe. We keep repeating that sentence over and over again to the point that it lost its value and no one seeks the deeper meaning of it anymore. What was the Word? Was it truly a word, or did it rather mean or describe the vibration pulsating throughout the Universe in order to begin the next chapter of its infinite existence?

I would opt for the second concept, especially according to quantum physics proving that vibrations can create and can – by amplifying or cancelling each other – become conscious of its own behavior. If so, then we can go further and come to the conclusion that this “word” or vibration gave the beginning of all our thoughts, emotions and feelings.

One thing though that constantly makes me wonder – this famous word began in absolute silence. The most important words take place in silence. Silence, which allows us to understand and comprehend the word, digest and assimilate it, and only then, be impeccable with it. The process, which I have described in only two sentences, in reality, can take weeks, months or even years. That’s what scribes for centuries trying to do in order to deliver true meaning of the words, since those words rule our lives.

In our everyday life it would be a lot more beneficial for us to pay attention to the words we speak while trying to communicate with others as well as when we listen to the words passed to us by others. Then silence and attention is always appreciated. Attention requires silence. Words require silence. Silence requires attention. In this linkage we see how much effort it takes to pass the words and make them meaningful. That’s why – regardless of the level of contamination of our life with virtual reality – there are (and I hope always will be) people going to the theatre to watch actors (trained in the art of passing words) passing words written by others to the audience. When you are in the audience, in silence and darkness, your comprehension increases, your feelings are touched to the point of creating emotions, which in turn create unforgettable, inspirational moments.

That is the power of the word, because the word IS the vibration.
