I take the whole month of January as a time to ponder upon my desires for the New Year.It is the beginning of a new chapter of my life.I use many different methods of divination to find out the promises it carries.The slow pace and quietness of January affords me this luxury.I love it.Do you?

When thinking about what, how, in which order, etc to do in the New Year, I go through many of my notes and quotes to inspire myself. Hence, I find myself goinghigher and further with my dreams and desires for 2015.And then, I came across a quote from Dante Alighieri, which I would love to share with you:

"My will and desire were both revolved, as is a wheel in even motion driven by Love, whichmoves the sun and other stars."

This quote brought me back to thinking what is THE ABSOLUTE MUST IN OUR LIFE? LOVE!

It may sound like a cliché to many of you, yet on the other hand do we really pay enough attention to love in our everyday, fast passing life?Or do we take love for granted, as if something should and must be given to us and by us without exception.If so, then why are so many of us sick, lonely, or depressed?Maybe we just say, "Love you" at the end of our phone conversations without even hearing those words. Oh well ... another habitual thing.

I hear so many people referring to unconditional love and if we really think about it, it is SO hard to love even conditionally!When a child is naughty, we say, "I love you, but ..., " which puts a condition to it.And then we talk with our friends and say, "I love my child with all my heart." If this were really true, we would not put conditions on it. Contradictions, contradictions, contradictions.

I am not sure if I can love unconditionally.I think perhaps we are not able to do that in our polarized reality, though I may be wrong.In my little world, I believe only God can love unconditionally.And the rest of us struggle to get closer and closer to God’s "unconditional" meaning of love.

I do my best to love and understand, to help, and to have good intentions.I approach people with the same attitude ~ that they appeared in my life to give love to me and to receive love from me. God only knows how many times I failed and how many people have failed me …

However one must hope for better, for improvement, for reaching further. Stars are still shining in the night sky and the sun is still with us throughout the day, so the Power above all powers is present within and without us as well.Hence, hope is with us!
